By now, I’m sure you know that Lilly Pulitzer has released their new swimwear. Though many of us have waited completely impatiently for this moment, the wait has been well worth it! Of course, in true Lilly fashion, the styles and cuts have varying sizes, making it somewhat difficult to shop the collection online. So, after my try on I mentally logged my notes on fit and I’m sharing them with you below. Feel free to message me on instagram or shoot me an email if you have any additional questions or just want to chat!

Isle Lattice One Piece Suit ($138)

This one piece is everything I didn’t know that I wanted in a bathing suit. I’ve been wanting a one-piece suit, but I’ve been afraid to take the plunge. This style is trendy enough that you will have complete confidence, but full coverage enough for those that aren’t prepared to bare it all at the beach. At first I thought I would be set on the printed version, but I find that the solid Deep Indigo color is the most flattering. The front detailing is low but not enough to show your bellybutton. The cups are amazing because they are contoured to fit the shape of the suit and not stand out. They provide excellent coverage and support, so if you’re a bit bustier this is a great piece for you. Another thing I noticed is the material that this suit is made out of. It’s the most comfortable spandex-y material ever and it’s thicker than your average swimsuit. I really can’t say enough good things, if you’re wanting to try a one-piece this season it is definitely worth your purchase. I found this to run true to size!

Blossom Underwire Bikini Top ($78)

I am obsessed with bra-style bikini tops because they actually serve a purpose and make any kind of sense. Instead of just being pieces of fabric that cover you (kind of), the bra-style tops provide support and coverage while also being really flattering for pretty much all body types. I got this suit in the Catch the Wave print because I love all of the colors in it and how festive it looks. Definitely reminds me a little bit of Let’s Cha Cha! This top has a great fit and I think it runs true to size but possibly just a LITTLE on the small size. Only by a smidge! Love the feel of it on because it definitely will stay put even in the waves at the beach. The price is really good for being a Lilly print, and you can totally just buy the top and get bottoms to match like these, or these, or these!

Tropic String Bikini Bottom ($68)

If you’re going to pass on something, I think you can safely ditch the bikini bottoms. Don’t get me wrong, they are really awesome, but if you’re more of a pool girl than a beach girl, they’re only going to get pilled up and ruined so you could totally use the other options I linked above for cheaper bottoms that coordinate. But, if you want to get the entire look, I really liked these Tropic String Bikini bottoms and got them in the Catch the Wave print to match the Blossom top. I am typically a 00 or xxs in pants at Lilly Pulitzer, but I sized up to the size 2 in this style for more coverage. These are adjustable at the side ties, but the style is definitely cheeky, so if you want more coverage you really need to size up. If you can, it is best to try this style on and not just order online. As with each piece of swim in the new collection, I am really enjoying the feel of this fabric because it feels thicker and more substantial than other swim styles from the past and other brands. I like these because they complete the look, but if you want to save a few bucks, definitely just grab coordinating bottoms from Target or Old Navy.

If you’re picking up swim styles for spring break or summer, don’t forget to grab this beach blanket too!

It is by far one of my favorite pieces I’ve purchased in a while! I like to throw it over the chair in my bedroom to add some color, but it is definitely the perfect blanket for lounging on the beach, having a picnic, or even drying off since one side is terry fabric. The tassels at the corners are such a great detail for this blanket – if you buy it you won’t regret it! Plus, it might just push you over the edge to qualify for the beach towel gift with purchase!

I am so glad Lilly brought their swim collection back and I definitely think it was worth the wait. I notice the difference in quality in the fabric, vibrancy, and overall detail put into each piece. So excited to spend this spring break (and summer!) in color!
