I had every intention to post this in advance to ensure that I shared my looks PRIOR to anyone visiting rodeo. Alas, that was never going to happen given me recent schedule. I hope that this recap is helpful for the final days of the fest as well as any future Nash trips that anyone might take. Just because rodeo season is winding down doesn’t mean that honky tonks are closing as well! The western look will always have a place!

I included shoppable photos with each look so you can grab the same pieces and recreate the style!

Statement Boots

I think the mistake that some people make is getting way too intense about their rodeo look to the point where they are uncomfortable and can’t fully enjoy the experience. I love this look because the focus is ALL about the boots, which makes it easy stick with comfy staples for the rest of your outfit. Major pro-tip: I’ve been buying my shorts 1-2 sizes too big so that they ‘hang’ off of my hips. This not only makes me look incredibly skinny, but it is also great for when you know you’re going to have some cocktails and/or salty food and need to leave room for the inevitable bloating that will occur.

Cropped Crystal Top

These tanks are ALL over Amazon and a fun way to add a little extra sparkle without going too crazy. Pair with those oversized shorts for a flattering look even when you’re sitting. Another perk of sizing up in your shorts: when you sit, they ride up so your waistband covers more of your stomach which is great for feeling comfortable while you eat or drink since it won’t be squeezing you in half. I’m telling you – no downsides to sizing up in those shorts!

Comfy Dress & Booties

This is a great look because you don’t have any restriction around your waist – my favorite part of wearing a dress! I love this dress specifically because the fabric is so soft as if you’re walking around in your bedsheets. I wound up getting this in a lilac color as well as the white, but it also comes in a cute baby pink and a pretty shade of light blue. These booties are also super flattering and the rhinestone fringe makes them even more fun. I did get the white, but am contemplating buying them again in the black. I wear them so often, it might just be worth it! I love to pair the with ripped shorts and a tee to run errands in. This outfit is also a great pick because each piece can be worn again in a different context outside of rodeo and anything ‘western’ themed.

Bandana Co-ord & Black Boots

This set is visually spot-on for rodeo with the bandana print, but it is also made in a super light-weight and soft fabric that is perfect for the heat and for all the walking and eating you will do. The skirt is actually a skort, so no need to worry about any wind or whatever other antics you might get into. The skirt is also high-waisted and the crop top isn’t excessively short, meaning that the result is the perfect amount of midriff showing that is flattering and totally comfortable. I never thought I would buy black boots, but at this point I will buy any Billini boots that Altard State sells because the quality is amazing, the fit is always perfect, and the prices are so good!

SO many apologies for not getting this up in time for my Tuesday newsletter! You know what they say, the road to h*ll is paved with good intentions. Not that anyone is going there, but my good intentions are rarely a match for my busy schedule!
