The holidays are over but the cold seems like it’s here to stay. Boo. In this weather, what is better to keep yourself warm than some luxe faux fur?

Not only is it soft and cozy, but it’s also extremely warm. Faux fur vests are so flexible and can be dressed up or down and will take you from fall straight into winter. While they weren’t exactly trending this year, I did find a good selection all under $100 for you to shop from! that I linked below!

When looking for a faux fur vest, keep in mind a few tips:

  • Rub it against your pants or sweater to see if it sheds. If it is going to consistently shed hair/fur, it really isn’t worth purchasing.
  • It should be a soft fur. If it feels rough or dry like a stuffed animal, it isn’t going to looks as glossy and real when you wear it.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t include any exact links to my vests since they were all purchased second-hand or from TJMaxx.

I love this white semi-shaggy fur vest because it is so fun and unique in its style. Unfortunately, it sheds a little. This makes it annoying to wear with solid color dark pants, so I bought a mini lint roller. Ugh.

In the photo at the top of this post, I paired my dark brown faux fur with my luxletic weekenders in the swim plus a cozy chunky knit sweater from old navy. This is a super easy outfit for running around and doing errands.

Below is my ivory Max Studio fur vest with a knit back. This can be a fun style because the knit back cuts down on some of the extra fabric or bulk a full fur vest provides. If I had to choose, I would opt for a full faux fur vest over one with knit sections, but this one is great to pair with my Lilly Pulitzer Sophie dresses and so much more. The knit back has some metallic threading woven throughout, which really plays well with the fun prints.
