This New Year’s Eve was totally different for me because I spent it alone in the city. Now, don’t start feeling bad for me because I spent the entire day doing what any self-respecting woman should be doing on NYE, pampering myself to start the new year off fresh!

Lucky for me, I had the day off so I was able to spend the required 2+ hours it takes me to paint my nails. Having fresh polish is an instant pick-me-up and anyone who is feeling stressed should reach for their nearest bottle of Essie for a cure. Plus, painting your nails is an activity easily paired with drinking wine which makes it even more luxurious.

yay!

After painting my nails I did something even more relaxing; I enjoyed a hot soak in a sudsy bubble bath. I know what you’re thinking, “Who actually sits in a bubble bath?” and to be honest, I’m not sure, BUT after enjoying a nice glass of wine and the soft glow of candles as I basked in the warmth of the water I couldn’t help thinking, “Who doesn’t take bubble baths??”

Of course, the night wouldn’t be complete without festivities, so I enjoyed my favorite sparkling beverage and put on my finest to ring in the new year. This is my “Anita” skirt that I designed to pair with my jewel encrusted crop top from Francesca’s. You can always count on Francesca’s for designs that are flirty and fun and perfect as statement pieces. And of course, how could I leave out Kate on this bedazzled evening? I paired my Kate Spade inspired Gold Luxe clutch that I made for the holiday season with my outfit for added sparkle.
