What should have been a “no spend January” turned into a “spend only if it’s on sale January,” which I guess could be a lot worse. In what is most definitely the most eclectic blog post ever, I am pulling together all of my month’s finds here for you to shop. I’ve linked everything that I can, so if there’s something you are struggling to find, please feel free to shoot me a message or leave a comment below!
I bought these magical little earring backs because my Chanel studs are SO droopy when I wear them. The earring is so heavy that it just doesn’t sit nicely on my lobe. These earring backs help to counteract that droopiness so even your heavy studs sit nicely in your piercing. Now I can actually wear my studs more often, so I am thrilled. Definitely a great buy, especially for the price.
Charging Station for Phones & Tablets – $7.99
I got so sick of all the charging cords near my bed that I had to do something about it. They were getting so out of hand that I actually was getting tangled up in them and tripping – really not good! I love this charging station because it sits on my nightstand and gives me easy access to USB and regular outlets without having extension cords or a hideous power strip lying around. The one downside to this charging station is that it has a light on it which is not super fabulous when you’re trying to sleep BUT when you put your tablet or phone in the holder it blocks it sooooo problem solved! Love the price, love the organization.
Rove Travel Thermos 3-in-1Â –Â $21
This is quite literally the *perfect* travel thermos for Andrew, and probably other people too! Disclaimer: it is not beautiful. Andrew’s is particularly hideous because I randomly found it in Burlington Coat Factory, but beggars can’t be choosers, and this thermos fits all the millions of criteria required of it. First, it fits in a cup-holder while also having a handle. This is made possible by the fact that the handle is made of rubber and flexible instead of rigid and cumbersome. This is also the perfect height so that it holds 16oz but still fits under the Keurig without removing the drip tray. This is key. Finally, this thermos is a 3-in-1 product that can act as a koozie for a can or bottle, as an insulated drinking cup, or as a travel thermos. It also works for both cold and hot beverages. It was nearly impossible to find a travel thermos that had ALL of these qualities at once because most mugs with handles didn’t fit in a cup-holder. This has been a serious game-changer for Andrew because it is perfect for him to use to go to and from the hospital. Plus, now he isn’t taking my wedding china out of the house and shattering it on the ground. *insert me gritting my teeth and smiling here*
J.Crew Tiered Bell Sleeve Top (pink and white) – $29.99
These tops are so awesome! They have a button in the back at the nape of the neck to make the top easier to get on. The fit is excellent, and you can wear them differently depending on how you size them. I purchased the white in a 00 (my true to size) and the pink in a size 4 to wear with skinny pants since it will have a boxier fit. These are great to pair with skorts from Lilly or kelly ankle pants. The white is more versatile, but the pink is a great way to pull some bright color into your professional work-wear since it pairs well with navy career clothes. Plus, the price is stellar! Love this neckline paired with a bold, gold monogram necklace a la Cora’s Den.
J.Crew Calf Hair Flats – $84.99
I really don’t have a good reason for getting these, except they were an amazing deal and I LOVE calf hair loafers and flats. I have tons of things in leopard, but could not resist the dark chocolatey-brown in this giraffe print pair. These flats fit a half size small in my opinion, so I would try to size up if you can. Such a funky way to add some flair to a basic work outfit, and once the weather starts to wear in they will become your new favorite shoes!
J.Crew Flounce Mini Skirt – $22.99
The fit of this skirt is so darling! It comes in a couple colors and it has ELASTIC in the back so hello to tons of comfort and whatever you feel like eating. I have been looking for simple but cute navy skirts to wear throughout the year and this one was the perfect find! It fits true to size and I like to pull it up so it is a high-waisted fit with my top tucked in.
J.Crew Sidewalk Skirt – $34.99
I love this style skirt and always have. It used to be called the “paper bag” skirt, but I like how J.Crew refers to it better as the “sidewalk” skirt. Pairs well with wedges but also with cute little sneakers or Sperrys, making it totally versatile and a closet staple. Again, this was a navy skirt I needed in my life. Because the elastic waistband is so wide, it is perfect for pairing with a skinny statement belt – my favorite! This skirt fits true to size, but because it is so stretchy you can always size up a little for length if necessary.
Lilly Pulitzer Haylee Off-the-Shoulder Top – $118
I don’t even like this shade of blue, but in this top it seemed so chic! Also, I immediately thought this might come in handy around the 4th of July. This top has the straps that can go under your arms to keep the top from riding up your shoulders. The fabric is soft and washable, so this really is a great piece to add to your wardrobe for grabbing cocktails.
Lilly Pulitzer Worth Sateen with Side Seam Trim – $178 (white and onyx)
I love these worth skinnys! The side detail is so trendy and such a chic detail when you’re pairing these with a cute heel and blouse to go out. I like pairing a chambray top with both colors, but the onyx is probably my favorite because of how bold it is. These run a little bit long compared to solid worth skinny pants, so if you’re petite these might need some minor alterations.
J.Crew Woven Ruffle Neck Pullover – $32
This sweater has a few inches of zipper at the back neck so you can get into it easily. It feels like a heavy-weight sweatshirt with cute ruffle details making it the perfect piece to pair with a white skort and brown boots to wear into the office. I would not size up because this is a piece you want to wear a bit more fitted. I love that this is so cozy but also so incredibly cute!
TJ Maxx Leopard Sweater – $39.99
I’m obsessed with this sweater because of the bold double ruffles running down each sleeve. The only size left is small, and this sweater runs small so the fit is more like an XS/XXS. It is synthetic, so don’t expect the same cozy feeling as a good cashmere. Super fun to wear with stick-skinny pants and pointy flats. A really fun, bold statement for this chilly temps!
Forever 21 Pink Camouflage Tee – $12.90
Clearly, I will be wearing this tee whenever I find the necessity to blend in to a purely pink backdrop. I really can’t explain to you why I needed something like this in my wardrobe, but I’ve actually been wanting something like this for a while so… Couldn’t tell you. Anyways, it’s cheap and online and you too can get your pink camo game going so you are most very welcome.
This is how I know for a fact that I have expensive taste. The second I bought my gold rockstud bag and was unable to find it online, I realized what happened. I had thought it was just an incredibly cute and funky bag, I never even knew it was a dupe for a Valentino design! I couldn’t find my exact bag online, but I found this one that I LOVE and is arguably an even better dupe because it’s real leather. Comes in a few different colors and has the same fab design as the one I purchased. There’s something about the thick, short handle on this purse that I find so novel. It’s also really helpful to have the option to hold the shorter strap or wear it as a crossbody bag. Overall, I just love this piece because of how trendy and chic it is, especially up against something more soft and feminine like my tutu.
